Welcome to Kommetjie Primary School.
Tucked between Slangkop Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean,
our school looks out towards Hout Bay and Chapman’s peak.
Kommetjie Primary School is a small school in the centre of the delightfully rural and unspoilt village of Kommetjie on the Cape Peninsula. The school has approximately 235 learners and retains its character of a small family orientated community school. Kommetjie Primary School strives to provide a secure learning environment where children are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and values essential for lifelong learning and development.
The vision for the school includes academic excellence and leadership, while maintaining its community character. Tolerance, respect and courtesy to fellow learners, educators, visitors to the school and all other people are core values. Academically, physically and culturally the learners are encouraged to develop their talents to the full to become well rounded members of society.
